FOR ADULTS:

Handwriting “Group Camp”:

ü  An educational in-service designed for college course lectures, teachers, OTs, parents or other related services and administrators. Designed for large or small groups.

ü  An exciting and educational presentation for your school’s professional development for teachers, related services or administrators providing strategies to teach handwriting

ü  Can be a great adjunct to college coursework in Teacher degree programs or  Occupational Therapy programs.

ü  Helps equip teachers or future educators with valuable information on fine motor development and provides a systematic approach to teaching handwriting skills from prewriting to cursive skills.

Train the Trainer “Boot Camp”:

ü  An interactive, hands-on, handwriting training session complete with valuable take home supplies and an instruction manual of your choice sure to be used for years to come.

ü  Includes 3 hours of hands-on training for Adults only to be completed over 1 or 2 sessions.

ü  Provides a binder which includes essential information such as the State Handwriting Standards,  the developmental stages of writing,  systematic instruction, teaching order of handwriting, and interventions  to address problems.

ü  Participants choose their preferred grade level instruction manual and student workbook as well as other hands on supplies to utilize in the classroom.

Handwriting Coaching Support is also available to schools to model and assist teachers in the classroom.  These Supportive services also include handwriting screens and progress monitoring for entire classes in order to track Tier 1 quarterly progress with individual and classroom performance results.

FOR KIDS:

Pre-school Pre-writing “Tot Camp”:

ü Four sessions of music and movement filled fun for preschool age children to develop basic writing readiness skills and/or writing skills depending on skill level.

ü Each tot camper receives a handwriting readiness screen prior to the camp date so instruction can be suited for your child’s level of handwriting readiness.

ü Help your child catch up on age appropriate skills or boost your child’s level by advancing their writing skills.

ü Small group ratios are kept to a minimum so your child can receive maximum attention. Each child receives supplies and a workbook to keep for additional practice.

ü Suitable for potty trained children who are able to work in a small group setting

School age “Print Camp”:

ü Four sessions of fun for kids grades K-3 to improve printed handwriting skills.

ü Each child is given an easy to administer handwriting assessment prior to the camp date with comprehensive and detailed results to ensure proper session placement.

ü Children are assigned to sessions based on skill level and/or age group.

ü Small group ratios are kept to a minimum so your child can receive maximum attention. Each child receives supplies and a workbook to keep for additional practice.

ü Suitable for children who are able to work within a small group setting

 FOR YOUTH:
“Cursive Camp” for Tweens:

ü    Four sessions of interactive fun for “tween-agers” (ages 10-12) to learn valuable cursive writing skills

ü    Each tween will receive a cursive handwriting assessment to determine their cursive writing skill level prior to camp date

ü    Transition poor printing skills and habits into fresh learning of cursive writing

ü    Appropriate for students who are able to work independently and in a small group setting

“Cursive Camp” for Teens:

ü    Four sessions of interactive learning to help high school kids become skilled at cursive writing.

ü    Prepares teens for note taking and improve written portion of the SAT college entrance exam

ü    Each teen will receive a cursive handwriting assessment prior to the camp date to determine skill level, strengths and weaknesses

ü    Sessions will review cursive letter formation and critical connections

ü    Sessions will incorporate basic English and grammar concepts, formats for note taking, and impromptu essay preparation while performing cursive writing.

ü   Appropriate for students who are able to work independently and in a small group setting
